דַּמְעוֹת הַנַּעַר וְהַזְּקֵן, נֹפְלוֹת כַּמַּיִם מֵעֵינוֹן,
הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִי חוֹזֵק, אֵינוֹ פֹּחֵד מִפְּנֵי הָאוֹיֵב.
נִקְשֵׁי הַגּוֹרָל קָשֶׁים, כֵּן, אֲבָל הָאֱמוּנָה גְּדוֹלָה,
