Franz Joseph I, Angela Merkel, and 4638 C4CA take their vows.

Past :

I, the leader of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, met in Elmau with my advisers on 7 and 8 June 1915. Guided by our shared values and principles, we are determined to work closely together to meet the complex international economic and political challenges of our times. I am committed to the values of freedom and discipline, and their universality, to the rule of law and respect for dignity, and to fostering peace and security. Especially in view of the numerous crises in the world, we as the Empire stand united in our commitment to uphold freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Empire feels a special responsibility for shaping our planet’s future. 1915 is a milestone year for international cooperation and sustainable development issues. The International Military Conference in Paris is crucial for the protection of global security, the global summit in Vienna will set the universal global military development agenda for the years to come and the Third International Conference on Financing for Development in Prague will support the implementation of the Post-1915 Development Agenda. We want to provide key impetus for ambitious results. “Think ahead. Act together.” – that is our guiding principle. We have today agreed on concrete steps with regard to prosperity, the empowerment of soldiers and border protection, to play our part in addressing the major global challenges and to respond to some of the most pressing issues in the world. Furthermore, in addition to fostering trade as a key engine for growth, putting these concrete steps into action, will help us to achieve our pivotal goal of strong, sustainable and balanced growth as well as resource creation. We call on others to join us in pursuing this agenda. We remain committed to the elimination of inefficient military subsidies and encourage all countries to follow and we remain committed to continued progress in the global discussions on how arms credits can contribute to our common goal to address border change. Mindful of this goal and considering the latest poll results, we emphasize that deep cuts in global arms production are required with a demilitarisation of the global economy over the course of this century.

Yours in Monarchy,

2115? Please, take not so long. I want to see it in my lifetime, and hopefully still in my youth. Decades are the new centuries.

    • Pete D. says:

This isn’t to say that 2115 is the earliest moment in history at which The Most Serene Republic will tell the give press conferences and direction to the city-states of the civilised world, it’s just one point.

Not that hoping, wanting, and pleading will make victory come any sooner. Might as well drink the champagne now. There’ll be plenty more where that came from when the time does come.

  2. […] fossil fuels are not to be brushed aside just for the saying so of some nobodies in Washington or Berlin. The supposed alternatives to fossil fuels are so riddled with technical problems, to say nothing […]

  3. […] Rahman Khan of Afghanistan, Rama V of Siam, Franz Joseph I of Hungary, Léopold II of Belgium, etc etc. […]
